By using Reachy's Brain ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Software.
License
Reachy's Brain is provided under the MIT License. You are free to:
- Use the Software for personal or commercial purposes
- Modify the Software
- Distribute copies of the Software
- Sublicense the Software
The above rights are granted provided that the copyright notice and permission notice are included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.
API Keys & Third-Party Services
To use certain features of the Software, you need an OpenAI API key. You agree that:
- You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining your own API key
- You are responsible for all costs incurred through use of your API key
- You will keep your API key secure and not share it publicly
- Your use of OpenAI services is subject to OpenAI's Terms of Use
Robot Safety
When using Reachy's Brain with Reachy Mini, you agree to:
- Follow all safety guidelines provided by Pollen Robotics
- Ensure the robot is placed on a stable surface
- Supervise the robot during operation
- Keep the robot away from edges, obstacles, and hazards
- Not allow unsupervised access by children
You are solely responsible for the safe operation of your robot.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Software to:
- Generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate others
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Attempt to bypass safety measures in the robot or AI services
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Software will meet your requirements
- The Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from the Software will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the Software will be corrected
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Damage to your robot or other property
- Personal injury
- Loss of data
- Financial losses from API usage
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Third-Party Services
The Software integrates with third-party services (e.g., OpenAI). We are not responsible for:
- The availability or reliability of third-party services
- Changes to third-party APIs or pricing
- Content generated by AI services
- Actions taken by third-party service providers
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Termination
You may stop using the Software at any time. We may also terminate or suspend access to the Software at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties.
